Honey-trap warning to power plant staff

NUCLEAR power plant workers are being warned not to have casual sex on holiday - to avoid being targeted by foreign spies.

The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) has alerted staff travelling abroad to be extra vigilant in the aftermath of the London bombings.

It says travelling abroad can present security risks to staff and contractors with access to sensitive information.

A staff bulletin, which goes to workers at several sites, including Dounreay in Caithness, warns that attempts may be made to compromise workers with the intention of recruiting or exploiting them for intelligence purposes.

It states that employees should ensure they do not attract attention to themselves, recommending that they don't talk about work, stay away from civil unrest and don't take official papers or passes with them.

A UKAEA spokesman, Andy Munn, said: "It's general advice which applies to people in government service, but particularly to those with access to sensitive information."
I'm strenuously avoiding all reference to cooling rods and fast breeders ...
