The likelihood of me achieving anything work-related today finally evaporated when I discovered this!

Anyone wishing to visit the The Republic of Harangustan will require no entry visa, and the drug cops in the airport are there solely to ensure you bring your own supply of marijuana, and do not blag off the locals.

Anyway, the media in the UK/US seem to be completely ignoring the work being done in Venezuala/Argentina/Brazil to rescue their economies from IMF/World Bank impoverishment, preferring to focus on Africa and how we can go ahead and plunder their economies some more.

Interesting item in the Nation today about Aristide's opinion of when the US stopped backing him and wanted him out - would you believe that it was his opposition to privatising his country's utilities...shocker!

Re Evangelism…..not any more so than the neo-cons with their talk of the inevitability of the free market and capitalism – sometimes you just gotta fight like your enemy….but it is worrying….
