Re what I said about the danger of political discourse being sidetracked down (basically harmless) cultural channels, Douglas sends me this. Interestingly, Mr Green was on 'Today' this morning, being more than a little coy about the size of his organisation. Somehow, I doubt that will deter our beloved media from lavishing attention on them; Mary Whitehouse, anyone?

On a related note. Are the government's new proposals to outlaw protest leafletting campaigns etc going to apply to Christian groups as well ?

Interestingly, yes they are-which is why this man is dead against the religious hatred laws.....buit of course is outraged at the notion of repealing anti blasphemy ones.
